Hello, my name is Elana. I am a 60 yr old Ashkenazi woman born and raised in the Phila area. I have since relocated to Central Pa.
I was raised a Conservative Jew in a very proud, yet not super observant Jewish home.
Passover has always been my favorite holiday. My best memories are of my childhood Seders. The beautiful table, family all around and my Pop pop, fluent in Hebrew, leading. I would listen to his voice, a lovely voice with a wonderful accent, reciting in Hebrew. I would follow along reading the English in the Haggadah. (Yes Maxwell House!)
I now find myself living far from home. My parents and many older family members gone and my one sister across the country. I thought, why be lonely this Passover? Why not have a Zoom Seder?
Why not bring isolated Jews together? For Passover, for community, for Jewish connection?

This Seder will be warm, relaxed and enjoyable while fulfilling the mitzvah. I will lead the Seder in English, in a traditional Ashkenazi way as that is what I know. I would love to include other traditions. Anyone who wishes please contact me with your suggestions. Any youngsters out there who would like to read the Four Questions? Anyone fluent in Hebrew? Please, join in.
I will provide a downloadable Haggadah to all participants.
